This error was fixed in version 4.1.50 if you are not using this version or later, please upgrade to the latest version.
Every Data-Logger contains it own calibration constant. This data is amended each time the logger is re-calibrated. Each logger will have their own unique calibration constants if supplied calibrated, UN-calibrated loggers will use default calibration.
If during use the logger calibration becomes corrupted, TempIT will indicate a CRC16 error. The error will prohibit the logger from being re-issued until the error is corrected.
Since TempIT Version 4.1.48 it is possible to re-assert the last know calibration value back into the loggers memory (TempIT-Pro Licence users only).
Please follow the procedure below.
1) Obtaining the correct calibration information for the logger.
1a) For Logger with have not been calibrated for a specific range.
These loggers are supplied without calibration certificates, and have never been returned for calibration.
Gain | 1.0000 |
Offset | 0.00 |
1b) For Calibrated Loggers, either supplied calibrated or have been returned for calibration during is life.
Gain | Obtain from last calibration Certificate |
Offset | Obtain from last calibration Certificate |
2) Make sure you are running TempIT 4.1.53 or newer. Download link below. If you are unsure of which version you have, open About under the Help menu in TempIT.

Below is an example calibration, every logger will have it's own unique values. This normally appears on the calibration certificate after the calibration results.
Once you have entered the calibration data, issue the logger as normal by selecting "Issue Logger".
Once complete, return to the issue screen you should no longer get CRC16 calibration error.
