This is caused by a very rare driver issue.  Will literally work on one PC, but move to another identical PC with the same cable.... NOPE!  The logger will show up in the Windows Device Manager and it's 'COMMS' LED will flash when connected.  Seems to just be when searching within the 'Map', the logger will not show up.  We don't know why.

Fix for this is to update the driver on the logger itself.

Get the driver from; X:\SL7000\USB Drivers D2xx\based on V2_12_28\signed

Copy over and 'Extract' the Zipped file in 'Signed' folder to the customers desktop > Open TempIT > 'Help' > 'Show Windows Device Manager' > 'Signatrol Data Loggers' > 'SL7000 Series Data Logger' > *Right Click* 'Update Driver' > 'Browse my computer for drivers' > 'Browse' > Select the 'Signed' Folder you copied over > 'Next'

This should now have updated the drivers successfully.  Re-scan in TempIT and the logger should now be displayed.

This Fix has also been known to fix crashing a PC when connecting to a SL7000.  This has only happened once.  She was French.

EDIT: It is also difficult to connect to the SL7000 if the Display Update Rate is set greater than 10 seconds. Repeated clicking on the scan button is required to make contact. Once contact has been made, set the Display Update Rate to something less than 10 seconds.
