Had a customer who was unable to export data as a CSV. TempIT installed, with the PRO license activated. Confirmed that when clicking on the Export option, nothing happened. A pop up window asking where to save the file should have appeared, but didn't. The problem is that the default file save location has not been mapped. Solution is in the .ini file, location;
C:\Users\*User*\Documents\Signatrol - TempIT\Config
Open up the .ini file and scroll all the way to the bottom. You will see something like this;
[EXPORT]
PATH_CSV=C:\Users\SeanR\??????\ ?????\ - ?????\ ?????\ ?????.CSV
PATH_JPG=C:\Users\SeanR\Documents\Signatrol - TempIT\Export\EXPORT.SB.JPG
PATH_BMP=C:\Users\SeanR\Documents\Signatrol - TempIT\Export\EXPORT.BMP
PATH_META=C:\Users\SeanR\Documents\Signatrol - TempIT\Export\EXPORT.emf
Copy and paste the mapped path from the line below, but keep the .CSV on the end. What you should end up with;
[EXPORT]
PATH_CSV=C:\Users\SeanR\Documents\Signatrol - TempIT\Export\EXPORT.CSV
PATH_JPG=C:\Users\SeanR\Documents\Signatrol - TempIT\Export\EXPORT.SB.JPG
PATH_BMP=C:\Users\SeanR\Documents\Signatrol - TempIT\Export\EXPORT.BMP
PATH_META=C:\Users\SeanR\Documents\Signatrol - TempIT\Export\EXPORT.emf
File > Save, then close. Close and re-open TempIT as Admin, just to be safe. TempIT should then function properly by popping up a save file window when selecting EXPORT > CSV. Have only seen this on CSV, but could possibly affect other files being unable to be exported and saved.
Unknown what causes this error (Nick's dodgy software :P.)
